Division: Firmwide Technology

 
The candidate will be primarily responsible for –
•Understanding the architecture and design of the new Global Reconciliations platform to be developed using Java, Sybase, scriptings and may use various other new Technologies like Ocean and FitNesse.
•Participate in development of some modules of the new system and distributing these globally.
•Perform impact analysis on Payment and Controls systems in case of cross divisional project implementations.

Candidate will be a member of the Trading Divisional Systems UNIX System Administration team in an International Investment Bank.

 

 

• Maintain UNIX servers used by the Trading division. Primary hours encompass the trading day. All SA’s share responsibility for evening and weekend support on a rotating basis.

Technical Skills

In-depth knowledge of Sybase ASE and Sybase Replication Servers. Knowledge of IBM UDB / DB2, MS SQL Server and Oracle would be beneficial

In-depth knowledge of Sun Solaris Operating System and Red Hat Linux Operating System

Good grounding in all aspects of the infrastructure environment, such as networking, storage, hardware

Shell scripting and Perl programming desirable

Good problem solving and analytical skills.

Experience/Qualifications

Candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, be confident, reliable and be able to perform under high pressure.

Candidate should be willing to take on responsibility and manage projects to completion.

Candidate should be competent at planning, directing, and executing project work, either independently or as part of a team spanning different regions
